Danube Express stores roll out begins at Jeddah and Makkah Haramain High Speed Railway Stations

The openings mark first Express Store format for Danube with two more to follow in 2022

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia; 10 August 2022 – BinDawood Holding Co. (Tadawul: 4161 and the “Company”), one of the leading grocery retail operators of hypermarkets and supermarkets in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (‘KSA’) today announced the official opening of two Express stores, under its Danube banner at the Haramain High Speed Railway stations (HHSR) in Jeddah and Makkah. The opening marks the first ‘express store’ model for Danube with two more to follow in 2022 at the Haramain High Speed Railway Stations across the country in the cities of Madinah and King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC).

We plan to open two more Danube Express stores at the HHSR KAEC Station and HHSR Madinah Stations in 2022. Danube was the operator of the first ever hypermarket in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Danube Express store at HHSR Jeddah is 600sqm and the HHSR Makkah is 800sqm and both stores will feature of a selection of high quality, fresh, premium offerings and hand-picked exclusive imported goods. Since becoming part of BinDawood Holding in 2001, Danube has grown to 53 current locations, with an ongoing program of expansion underway.
